Today was our first full day as a family of eight. It was such a wonderful day! The girls have changed so much in just one day. It is like watching a flower blossom and bloom...such a beautiful thing.

- Kristy -Mom To 9 Blessings
- I am the wife of 20 years to the love of my life and have nine beautiful children; all at home again! Two have been adopted domestically, and five are from Ethiopia. We homeschool, private school, and public school. I love the Lord and have a huge heart for the plight of the orphan and adoptions awareness.

- 1/12/08 USCIS Fingerprint Appt
- 1/12/08 Received Auth Documents From TX
- 1/11/08 Received Auth Documents From VA
- 1/10/08 Gladney Approved (to adopt up to three siblings)
- 1/8/08 Gladney Approved (to adopt up to two siblings)
- 12/24/07 Recevied VA Authentication documents
- 12/21/07 Received USCIS Fingerprint Appt For 1/12
- 12/18/07 Sent 18 documents for VA Authentication
- 12/14/07 Received Final Notarized Home Study
- 12/11/07 Received VA State Police Clearance
- 12/10/07 Home study draft received and VA DSS clearances received
- 12/3/07 -Received FBI Clearance Letters
- 11/30/07 -Received State Authentication for Birth Certficate
- 11/28/07 -3rd and Final Home Study Visit
- 11/23/07 -Finished Required Hague Training and Received State Authentication for Birth Certificate
- 11/20/07 -2nd Home Study Visit
- 11/16/07 -1st Home Study Visit and Received State Authentication For Our Marriage Certificate
- 11/9/07 -Remainder of application paperwork sent to Gladney and Datz to include 2nd set of fingerprints for VA State Ploice
- 11/9/07- Received Notarized Physical Forms and Bank Statement Notarized
- 11/8/07- Sent Fingerprints to FBI
- 11/7/07- Daddio Fingerprinted
- 11/7/07- Purchased DVDs for required adoption training.
- 11/7/07- 1st contact with Home Study caseworker and three visit dates established.
- 11/6/07- Mommio & DD Fingerprinted
- 11/5/07- Kid's physical appts & forms signed.
- 11/5/07 Background Check Forms Sent to VA Dept of SS
- 11/1/07- Physicals and First Hep A Vaccine Received
- 11/1/07- I-600A Application Sent To USCIS
- 11/1/07- Application for Home Study sent to Datz and applied for Marriage Certificate.
- 10/27/07- Home Study Agreement and Fee sent to Datz Foundation
- 10/26/07- Application Received
- 10/24/07- Sent in Application Request and Fee To Gladney
- 10/10/07- Told oldest 3 kids and we began praying about this as a family.
- 10/10/07- Phone Orientation With Debra at Gladney
- 10/10/07- Applied for Mommio's passport and Daddio's birth certificate
- 10/9/07- Spoke To Debra From Gladney Center For Adoption and Faxed Info Sheet In
- 10/1/07 Daddio fasted and prayed for guidance
- 9/29/07 We began to pray about adopting again and Mommio found Ethiopia

AHHHHHH! I can't take it, my heart is just overflowing, I am so blessed to be near and watch the changes in the girls and how peace-filled the family is. How wonderful God is to those who trust in Him!

Oh Kristi, Your family is just so beautiful. The difference in Bizuayehu's face in one week is just amazing to me. Congrats!! Hiwot and my son, Toufiq were in the Gladney home together, I met her when we were there, I am so happy that she is with her family!! I cant wait to read more about how your girls are doing!
