WOW! SO many firsts for our girls! Bizuayehu had her first day of school on Monday. She LOVES it and her teacher Mr C! She can now ride her big bike! That was a challenge in itself! Hiwot had her first dip in the pool which she really enjoyed (after being terrified of baths in the beginning.) They were able to meet my parents this week and I think that they both give grandparents a BIG thumbs up! We had such a nice 1st visit with them. We've baked cookies, and experienced Nilla' Wafers!
Things continue to go well as I try to balance our family of eight. Both girls were on antibiotics for sinus infections. Hiwot is on her 2nd antibitoic as the yuckiness has now moved to her chest. Plus she is cutting pretty much ALL of her molars at the same time. ACK! Oh, and she brought home that little gift known as giardia as well. So she has a pretty red bottom thanks to all of the meds and teething! Which of course added a yeast infection into the picture. Poor girly! She is still a delight most of the time and the Princess of our abode! We also discovered some other hitchhikers in Bizuayehu's hair a couple of days ago but all is well again! In order for her to start school, she had to get 4 shots! We had blood titers drawn and she only showed immunity to two things which she had obviously contracted at some point in her life. She is such a trooper and such a happy happy girl! Always smiling, always giggling. Such a sweet sweet girl! We are blessed that the Lord chose us to be these girl's forever family!
My days with a toddler...They are now spent saying exciting things like "Did you poop again?" "No no" "leave the kitty and doggie alone" and "Let's find something else to play with." Not much time for hanging out on the computer when you have a toddler rearranging your home. Gotta go!!!!
Blessings,
Kristy

It is so good to hear another positive update! I miss 'chatting' with you, but I know life must be very busy right now.
We're down to 3 weeks until court. Trying not to think about the fact that, after all of this time, we could not pass! Yuck!
I love the pictures and seeing the girls home with their forever family! Congratulations!

It is so beautiful to see all of you blending so well! Love it that B was so eager to start school! H is a doll, and your parents looked great in the family pic! Is oldest daughter off to college yet, or is she still home with you? What is your secret? You make it look so effortless! Love to all!
What a great update. Sounds like you guys are adjusting very well. The kids look like they are settling right into their new family. They are both beautiful!
Kristy!
Wow! What a whirlwind year! I am rejoicing over all that God has done for and through your family. Thanks for sending me this site. I think you sent it a while back, but I'm busy mommying everyone in our house too and often misplace things in the hubub. God bless you and your precious family.

I cannot wait for the girls to talk when our sweetie gets home. Soon I hope. Thanks for the encouragement.
You know you are one of my inspirations.
Keep sharing, and as you gain pearls of wisdom as a large family, we would LOVE to hear them.
