Two Weeks Down!

Wr're two weeks closer to our new kiddos! Woo Hoo! This has been a great couple of weeks for Gladney families...court dates after many weeks of waiting and even referrals to families that have been waiting for....well, forever it seems! When other families receive their referrals, it makes this entire process real to me. I get so busy with the paper chase, waiting, and with my life at home, it really doesn't feel like it is really happening. I have been reading Melissa Fay Greene's book, There Is No Me Without You. It gives a great look at Ethiopia: the history of the country, history and plight of HIV/AIDS, as well as the orphan crisis. Oh, it makes me just long for my kiddos there and I just pray that they somehow know to not lose hope. I just cry for them when I think of all of the loss and grief that they have already experienced in their short life....more than many adults experience in their entire lifetime! Please Lord, bring my kids home to me soon! They need their Mamma!
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." Proverbs 13:13

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you! So bummed to have missed coffee this morning. I saw you didn't make it either. Hope your son is feeling better. I didn't realize your dossier was complete and turned in. God is good....welcome to the wonderful waiting. It has been the most growth I have had in my entire life. Enjoy, and I will be here for you every step of the way!

All right! 2 weeks down.

Let's keep lifting our eyes to the hills and know our help comes from the One who makes those beautiful things (my version). He will help us while we wait.

I just have this feeling you won't have to wait that long....

If I am wrong, please don't punch me later.

Someone just posted a comment on my blog with a link to yours, as we're in Virginia too. Looks like we're just about on the same timeline -- we just got fingerprinted about 2 weeks ago. Excited for you all!
