We are thrilled to announce that we have offically accepted the referral of our newset blessings, a sibling group of three ages 6-10. We went into this adoption with these kids in mind but just got to the place in the paperwork process that we were offered the official referral! Unfortunately, we can't tell them about us yet until our I171-H comes which will most like be a while.....5-9 weeks is my best guess. If you are a Gladney family and have been to the older kids foster care center in the last two years, you have most likely met my kids! I would love any photos that you may have so please contact me using the e-mail address on the right hand side of the blog.
The Lord has gifted us in so many ways since we stepped out in obedience and faith and said "yes" to this adoption. Just know, if He calls you to do it, He will not only get you through it, but He will bless you in more ways than you could even ask or imagine.
We are thankful. We are blessed. And we are ready to become a family of 11!
Blessings,
Kristy

Kristie:
Thanks..you are sooo sweet! I do read a bushedandapeck's blog...love, love, love it! It has helped me many times in knowing I'm not alone!
The Connected Child is an awesome book.....one I will certainly read again and again. I've found that Dr. Purvis' training comes back to me just when I need it the most. There are times when my motherly instinct is totally wrong, and Dr. Purvis' words pop into my head....I've been absolutely amazed at how it came back exactly when I needed it the most!
It's funny you mentioned prayer partners; our church is getting ready to kick that off this week. Although, I'm not sure who God is calling to be my prayer partner, and vice versa, I know His choice will be perfect!
That is wonderful news!!! We visited the older kids home in March when we were picking up our sons. I'll e-mail you to see if we have any pictures.
That is so wonderful, congratulations!!!! We are still waiting for our referral so you may travel ahead of us but if we go before you I will be happy to take pictures and bring care packages.
Blessings to all ELEVEN of you!
Heidi

Hi; I came across your blog by accident this morning, and was excited to see that you're in VA! We are too, and are in the process of adopting two children from Ethiopia (waiting for a referral). If you have a chance, e-mail me. Our agency is in Michigan and I'm always happy to connect with other ET adoptive families in VA
:) Susan
